This will be the last Market of the 2007 Season. It has been a banner year for our Market - A huge thank you to all who turned out on Saturdays to support this awesome Market and the many talented vendors. We wish you the very happiest of Holidays and the best New Year ever! The Market will open the 2008 Season on April 5, 2008.

The Market booth offers free coffee, provided by HENRY LaROSE. Pick up your fresh brewed cup of Community Coffee and Chicory with real coffee cream!

Pause under our Market umbrellas and enjoy the live music. RALPH MILLER will open and close. Harmonica player extraordinaire, SCOTT ALBERT JOHNSON will be playing during 'mid'Market'.

MELINDA DOWNEY, a recent new member of the Craftsmen's Guild of Mississippi, will be back this week with her handcrafted jewelry. She's been busy this week crafting new necklaces with lots of silver swirls, chain mail bracelets and lots and lots of earrings.

CELLAR DOOR will be at the Market this week - EMILY O'DELL with her original "letter photo art", a most unusual and wonderful form of artwork along with her awesome black and white prints. N'KREBL POTTERY STUDIO will be there this Saturday. Mary and Rose Ellen will be bringing their wide variety of hand built pottery in various shapes and colors.

THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS will be on hand selling their 2008 Mississippi's Favorite Architecture calendars. Monies raised will be used by AIA Mississippi to benefit education programs within our state.

CLEO ROGERS will be on hand this week with her famous caramel cakes, pies, cupcakes and her unique salsa. CHINQUAPIN FARM will have all three tamale flavors including Pecan Smoked Pulled Pork, Chicken with Black Beans and Tomatillo tomatoes, Vegetarian Asparagus with Roasted Red Bell Peppers, to be served with Roasted Garlic Cheese grits and fresh salsa ; Flourless Chocolate Decadence Tortes, Deep Dish Sweet Potato Pies, fresh picked greens (turnip and collard), and some fresh herbs.

THE BAREFOOT POTTER will be back at the Market this Saturday. Elva will be bringing her incredible array of handcrafted pottery - Fun, functional and distinctly different!

CARAMEL CAKE FACTORY will be at the Market this Saturday with Caramel Cakes in various sizes. They will also have cookies, pralines, and their wonderful caramel by the tub - use it as a topping or create your own delicious desserts.

VICKIE GILBERT will be at the Market with her wonderful and fun painted windows. Stop by and visit with this classic Southern artist, see her creative talents and her Storybook Cottage!

HENDERSON HANDIWORKS will be back this week and offering an assortment handcrafted aprons for every personality. Free gift bagging available!

SALUTATIONS will be back this week. Elise custom designs and creates personalized custom cards, invitations, announcement and social stationery. Each made to order to fit your style. If you can imagine it, she will create it. A portion of all net proceeds are donated to the MS SIDS Alliance to assist educational efforts and to provide bereavement support to families who have lost a child to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

This week they will have lots of date nut bread, both regular and diabetic versions, along with apple cakes, banana nut bread and of course all of their stuffed frozen breads. So if you are looking for that 'hard to buy for' friend or relative, everyone loves to eat great food.

PHYLLIS HURLEY will be at the Market this week, in support of UWEC, a non-profit organization - Uganda Women Empowerment through Crafts. She will be selling their hand-made cloth dolls in traditional African dresses, doll clothes for 18" dolls, featuring batik, tie-dye and barkcloth clothes. Also woven fiber baskets, purses and jewelry made of paper and nuts.

SAMI LOTT DESIGNS will be back at the Market this week with jackets, jackets, jackets along with her eclectic mix of other haute couture clothing. Her awesome jackets are a great addition to your Holiday wardrobe. Each is an original, designed and crafted - Sami will even customize just for you.

WILD JASMINE will be on hand this weekend and offering their fabulous PAD THAI!! Stop by for a visit and watch them in action with the fabulous WOK - Check out what other surprises they have in store for you this week.

EARCINE EVANS OF FRANCIS FLOWERS & HERBS FARM is a new vendor this season and will be bringing her Handmade Organic; Biodynamic Wild crafted Hair & Skin Care Products. Cine' will also have fresh pecans - shelled or unshelled.

MOOZART'S, another new member of the Craftsmen's Guild of Missisippi, will be back with their sometimes one of kind mixed media stained glass art - wind chimes, fan pulls, abstract faces and more.

NATCHEZ JAMS AND JELLIES - Mrs. Vivian Graham will return with all your favorite jams and jellies. She sells out of her famous kudzu jelly every week, so stop by early. If you have not tried her new Hot Raspberry Jelly, you are missing a culinary treat!

BEETREE MEADOWS will be back at the Market this week with another offering of local wildflower honey and beeswax candles. Their new candles were just poured, so there will be plenty to choose from. Watch for newly designed candles made with their new taper mold. They will also have new squeeze bottles filled with their awesome local honey. Ask about their bees - this animated beekeeper shares the most interesting facts about his bees.

FLOURS BY CHRIS will be at the Market with candy, so stock up for the Holidays. Please note that Christine will not have breads or cakes this week.

slm CREATIONS will be there with new jewelry pieces using semi-precious gemstones, pearls, shell, wood and bone.

CHARLIE JENKINS will return with his whimsical art work. Charlie is a noted southern realism artist of line and color with a focus on pastels, watercolors and colored wax pencils. This week, Charlie will be bringing his white oak baskets and famous dancing rabbits and turtles.

V & V MUSHROOM FARMS will be there Saturday with Vickie's Shiitake mushrooms. The current harvest has been grown on MS hardwoods such as Sweet Gum trees. This medium offers a superior flavor, which cannot be rivaled by any other means. She will be offering various weights of both fresh and dried organic (certification pending) Shiitake mushrooms. Vicki will also have other items including her handcrafted Christmas cards, coasters and mini albums.

NINA PAGE will be on hand Saturday Nina will be bringing her colorful and fun handcrafted jewelry. She has added fun and funky aprons and beaded chains to hold eyeglasses. Also, possibly flowering paperwhites to brighten things around the house when they bloom in the upcoming weeks

KJON'S will be at the Market this week. They will have their full menu of frozen bisque, gumbo, etouffee, jamabalya, shrimp & grits, red beans, southwestern fiesta, stuffed bell peppers, cakes, cheese straws and more - their authentic Cajun dishes are awesome!
